Birmingham-based Vincent Timber Ltd supplied the western red cedar cladding for a £2m design and build fast-track project in York.
The low cost, multi-storey, L-shaped, modular housing, built on behalf of Yorkshire Housing and York City Council, required completion in under 14 months – less than half the time normally expected for a project of this size.
The western red cedar is not only compatible with the scheme’s modular structural design, but also offers insulating properties for low energy homes.
