Setra acquired an additional 49% stake in wood construction company Setra Plusshus on December 1.

Setra already owned a 51% stake in the business, so the company now becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary.

“This acquisition marks a natural continuation of many years of co-operation and is in line with Setra’s aim to take a clear position in the market for wooden buildings,” said Setra CEO and president Börje Bengtsson.

Setra Plusshus supplies prefabricated timber housing, operating from two production facilities in Arvidsjaur and Kristinehamn. The former manufactures walls, beams and roof sections and the latter provides cladding, service installations and kitchen units.

Setra is also responsible for marketing and production of Trälyftet, Setra’s industrial glulam building system.
