Finns have been appointed to prominent positions in European forest industry organisations.
Matti Mikkola, Stora Enso Timber Oy Ltd’s senior vice-president, has been appointed chairman of Cei-Bois for 2010-11. He has previously served on the CEI-Bois board.
UPM President and CEO Jussi Pesonen has been appointed vice-chairman of the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) for the next two-year term. He is also vice-chairman of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation.
Sappi Fine Paper Europe CEO Berry Wiersum has been appointed chairman of CEPI.
