Anew hi-tech membrane will help timber frame housebuilders meet the stricter part ‘L’ of the Building Regulations.
The material, placed between the inner and outer walls of a house, allows housebuilders to comply with the new standards without having to increase stud thickness.
Breather-Foil FR can be used for prefabricated and site-assembled housing and creates a wind tight, draught free but vapour permeable enclosure. It has a class one fire rating, Wimlas/BRE certification and offers a U value of below 0.3W/m²K.
