A small optosensor range being introduced by St Neots-based Leuze Mayser Ltd is designed to remain fully operational in dust and dirt laden atmospheres.
The 46 series retro-reflective sensor range, said to be ideal in woodworking machinery applications where large amounts of sawdust are generated, can be used to detect, measure, identify and protect.
In addition to an optional warning signal, an integral short-circuit mirror automatically switches the output to ‘on’ once the large optical lens is completely covered in dust.
