Kronospan subsidiary Eskdalemuir Forestry Ltd has joined the UK Forest Products Association (UKFPA) has a full member.
UKFPA president Tony Mitchell said Eskdalemuir’s recruitment strengthened the UKFPA’s voice and also demonstrated the unity between the sawmilling and panelboard sectors.
He said it also showed the shared concern about key issues such as wood supply and the impact of the burgeoning wood energy sector.
Gavin Adkins, director of forestry and head of timber procurement at Kronospan, said the company would support and benefit from the “excellent work” undertaken by the UKFPA in all aspects of the timber industry.
