Finger-jointed and laminated timber was almost the only product area seeing growth among Ghana’s forest product exports during the fourth quarter.

Engineered timber saw a 39% growth on the previous quarter to 3,696m³, according to the International Tropical Timber Organisation’s latest market report.

Exports of sawn timber, plywood, plantation poles/billets/logs, sliced veneer, rotary veneer and mouldings declined.

A total wood product volume of 94,369m³ was exported during the quarter, a 17% decrease on the previous quarter.
