British larch cladding has been specified for a new passivhaus building in Rochford.
Construction company Duncan Cameron & Hutchinson chose BSW Timber’s larch cladding, sourced through Bryceland TTS and machined at Vincent Timber.
The building, a new Centre of Disability Studies, is only the fifth construction project in the UK to be based on the German passivhaus standard. Partially larch clad over a timber frame on blockwork, the building uses a 400mm insulated I-beam roof.
