Chancellor Alistair Darling said he was very impressed with biomass technology solutions during a visit to Talbotts Biomass Energy Systems.
Mr Darling was given a tour of Talbotts’ Stafford factory along with local MP David Kidney to see the manufacture of technology which uses fuel from woodchips, waste pallets, wood pellets and other biomass.
“Here is a British company that has come up with innovative ways to create energy,” said Mr Darling. “That is what is impressive about it.”
Talbotts commercial director Amy Fielding said the chancellor’s visit on April 12 had put the company firmly on the map as a leader in the biomass technology sector.
Ms Fielding was invited to Downing Street last December where she attended a delegation in advance of the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference later that month.
