Stora Enso has achieved the highest score of forestry and paper companies listed in the European Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index.
The company was given the highest score for eco-efficiency and social reporting, as well as being top-ranked for the sustainable management of forests.
“We have been listed in the index for 10 years already, but to be ranked the best European company in the DJSI World Index is a great achievement,” said CEO Jouko Karvinen.
The index tracks the financial performance of leading sustainability-driven companies.
