The recovery of the Italian woodworking machinery market slowed during the third quarter following two quarters of sustained growth.
Industry association ACIMALL said the trend proved the market was stabilising to levels that were still far from pre-crisis volumes.
Total orders increased by 32.1% from a year ago, with exports rising by 25.9% and domestic orders up by 39.1%.
Acimall’s survey found 30% of companies indicated a positive production trend while 39% said it would be stable and 31% it would decrease..
At the end of the third quarter the industry has 1.8 months of orders.
