Nationwide Engineered Timber has supplied 304mm-deep easi-joists for the construction of new veterinary clinic in Stoke-on-Trent.
The metal-web easi-joists, supplied mainly in 5.4m lengths, were used to form the first floor of the building, with design loadings slightly above those normally associated with office applications.
Easi-joists were specified because of the quantity of power, data, plumbing and mechanical extraction/ventilation services to be routed around the 800m² structure.
Groundworks Ltd was the contractor on the Lime Trees Veterinary Clinic project.
