CR Taylor Timber is rekindling its expansion strategy after completing restructuring and improving its trading levels.
The company said its healthy order book and new found optimism had led it to resubmit plans to Bradford Council for the residential redevelopment of its headquarters site in Denholme, West Yorkshire, which would allow it to move to a new site in Bradford to meet future expansion requirements.
“We are again on the lookout for suitable premises,” said CR Taylor Timber chairman Charles Taylor.
The company’s expansion plans were put on hold during the recession and the business took steps to streamline operations. Mr Taylor said the actions led to trading levels improving at Denholme and at the Thornton Road depot in Bradford.
“We have reorganised the timber yard at Denholme to make it more customer-friendly and are advertising for a new branch manager in Bradford to build on progress achieved to date.”
