Western red cedar cladding and anti-slip decking has been supplied by John Brash to a new BREEAM-rated sixth form centre in Somerset.
The timber solution was specified for the Langport centre because the client, Huish Episcopi Academy and design practice Mark Richards Associates, liked its natural appearance and sustainability.
The centre’s two buildings, either side of an existing library, were linked at the first floor level by a footbridge fitted with John Brash’s DeckSure structural timber anti-slip deck boards.
The cedar cladding was specified as a visually-pleasing first-floor rainscreen façade, installed by Eurofox Engineering.
