The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) hosted a meeting this week with representatives from Malaysia’s timber trade.

The Malaysian Timber Council, the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, the Sarawak Timber Association and the Sarawak Forestry Corporation met the TTF and UK timber trade representatives to discuss CE marking, illegal logging and the TTF’s work on corporate social responsibility and its responsible purchasing policy.

TTF head of public affairs Mark O’Brien said: “We had a positive and constructive meeting regarding the changing UK and European market and look forward to working with the Malaysian timber trade on issues of mutual interest.”
