A timber frame cassette floor system will be launched by Mayr-Melnhof/Kaufmann later this year.
The Austrian glulam, cross-laminated timber and solid wood producer expects to launch the product at Timber Expo later this year. The company signed up to exhibit at Timber Expo while attending Ecobuild.
It is also looking to become more involved in the higher-rise project market.
“The [engineered timber construction] market is competitive but this is not a bad thing,” said Mayr-Melnhof’s Bernd Gusinde. “It shows engineered timber projects are out there and there will be more in the future to work on.”
