UPM says its ProFi Deck is the first European wood-plastic composite terrace decking system to be CE marked.
VTT Expert Services Oy tested 15 material properties of ProFi Deck in a CE marking process which took more than three years.
“The CE marking is a quantum leap for the entire industry as it enables reliable comparison between products,” said UPM’s ProFi director Markku Koivisto.
“We hope other manufactures will follow suit.”
ProFi is made from plastic and wood fibres that are derived from UPM’s label stock production.
