Mighton Products has gained Local Authority Building Control part L compliance approval for its timber sash window systems.

The company says the move will make life easier for its window fabricator customers when dealing with local authority clients as they will no longer have to gain individual LABC accreditation for their products, provided they are made with Mighton products and to its specification.

Mighton has secured the approval for its EcoSash, EcoSlide and EcoSafe ranges and its products are now referenced, complete with approval certificates, on the LABC website, www.labc.uk.com.

“This means that when they’re tendering for a job, joiners and window fabricators can refer local authority customers to the site,” said the spokesperson.

He added that Mighton also provides its customers with an LABC approval help pack.

“And there’s no charge as obviously Mighton wants its customers to win local authority business,” he said.

The company claims it is the only sash window system supplier to gain LABC approval.

It adds that its EcoTilt range is made to A, B and C rating levels under the Window Energy Rating Scheme, which signifies that it is also Part L compliant.
