Wide bandsaw technology supplier Stenner is celebrating after a successful week at the recent Ligna machinery show in Hannover, returning home with significant orders from three different countries.

Tiverton-based Stenner reported “significant” interest from around the world for the latest version of its MHS9 multi-head horizontal resaw, which formed the centrepiece of the company’s display.

“We had expressions of interest in the new version from North and South America and Europe, as well as some very interested parties from Australia and New Zealand,” said managing director Syd Mather.

Applications of the MHS9 vary from production of fencing components to high-value flooring.

The popularity of the MHS9 reflected the high levels of interest in bandsaws generally, with timber processors looking to maximise saleable volume from high-value timber.

Stenner also launched a spray lubrication system for retrofitting to existing bandsaws, as well as to new machines.

“With two complete systems sold already, we’re expecting more orders for this equipment soon,” said Mr Mather.

Other new products on show included an ST100R bandsaw with new fence setting, while Stenner also secured servicing agreements as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.

“To say the show was successful would be something of an understatement,” added Mr Mather.
