VIDA Group has acquired the majority shareholding in Swedish timber frame house manufacturer Villa, based in Växjö.
VIDA has bought the shareholding in the factory, established in 2007, from owners Staffan Dahlström of GBJ Building AB, Ansders Berg of Berg Småland Drömhus AB and Carl-Gustaf Lindh.
VIDA Group CEO Santhe Dahl said the acquisition was a step in VIDA’s aim to develop and adapt its timber products to the factory-produced timber frame homes market.
Villa has an increasing share of exports to the German and Swiss markets.
“It gives us strength to continue to develop, expand and to a greater extent industrialise our already flexible production,” said Mr Lindh.
The factory will move during the summer to larger premises in Växjö.
The company’s name will change to Villa Vida AB.
