CR Taylor Timber Ltd is able to move ahead with relocation plans following approval from Bradford planners of redevelopment plans for its Denholme head office and timber yard.

Approval of the plans involve redeveloping the site CR Taylor has been at since 1966 into 73 homes.

CR Taylor has had relocation plans for the past four years but put them on hold during the recession, rekindlng them earlier this year with a resubmission to Bradford Council.

“It is all very positive,” said executive chairman Charles Taylor.

“We can now start concentrating on our expansion plans in earnest. The project was always dependent on our receiving planning consent to allows us to invest in the relocation programme.”

Mr Taylor said there was no timescale yet for relocation and the company was still looking for a suitable purpose-built site in the area.

CR Taylor has outgrown its current site and wants to move to a site in the Bradford district near the motorway network.

“Our delivery vehicles operate across the UK and we need a location that will allows us to better facilitate our fast-expanding timber and engineered timber business,” added Mr Taylor.
