Norbord has put an instructional video on its dedicated website www.no-squeak.co.uk explaining the use of its No-Squeak adhesive.
It shows the new elastomeric adhesive being applied with a standard skeleton gun to bond Caberboard P5 chipboard flooring to joists.
Instead of the standard 17 fixings per board, says Norbord, only five beads of No-Squeak are needed and it cures in 24 hours to give the material time to settle.
The waterproof adhesive boasts noise- and shock-absorbing properties, and used with Norbord Caberfix T&G adhesives to seal tongue and groove joints, is said to “produce a solid reliable floor which can flex with out squeaking”.
