A two-sided “tea-station” and a reception desk have been created by British Woodworking Federation (BWF) member Pexhurst Services for the headquarters of Middlesex-based Tetley.
The furniture was manufactured mainly from veneered MDF, finished either in oak or dark stained ash, and the front face of the reception desk had a panel of bamboo, sourced direct from Japan, set into it.
The tops of the tea station were treated with a special hardwearing lacquer to prevent staining.
Neil Carpenter, facilities manager for Tetley, said the high volume of timber used in the redevelopment ensured it was constructed mainly from sustainable materials.
