Canada-based EACOM Timber has sold its Big River Sawmill in Saskatchewan, to Carrier Forest Products Ltd.
EACOM Timber acquired the sawmill, which was idled at the time, in January 2010.
EACOM has been working to obtain the timber rights necessary to reopen the sawmill for operation since then but has been unable to obtain any timber rights from the government of Saskatchewan.
Carrier has bought the mill for C$7.5m.
EACOM Timber owns eight sawmills, all located in eastern Canada, and related tenures.
