“It’s good to have a show that’s dedicated to timber where we’re all promoting wood and not competing with plastics and metals,” said Andy Hodge, Osmose Timber Technologies’ marketing director, Europe.

He added that exhibitors had excelled themselves with their stand designs which were “very sharp and contemporary” and said the show was “a good size” and benefited from being easy to get to.

It was also very cost-effective he said, with accommodation in the area being more affordable than at some other exhibition venues.

Osmose used the show to launch A guide to timber technology which, along with product and specification guidance, brings services such as research and development and product support to the forefront.

The guide also sets out the company’s mission statement, which is to work in partnership with and to support its customers, and to create new opportunities for timber.

Osmose’s products were in evidence on its stand and throughout the show – Protim FrameGuard, designed to give short-term flame spread performance in framing timbers during the construction phase, was showcased at Frame Wise UK’s stand; while the MicroPro wood preservative system featured on A Proctor’s stand.
