Mid-Sussex Timber has installed is second Stenner ST130 Band Resaw.

The addition, from Daltons wadkin, means the Stenners handle virtually all of Mid-Sussex’s sawing requirements.

The earlier Stenner had been ordered following the W8 Working with Wood exhibition to replace an existing Robinson machine. But the machine was already regarded as the first stage of a double purchase, with interest in the second Stenner renewed this spring.

Mill manager Ian Budgen said he had been pleased with the capacity and performance of the first installation and highlighted its HMI controls, programmable fence settings and pitless design obviating the need for special foundations.

Forest Row-based Mid-Sussex Timber is one of the largest stockists of timber in Sussex, specialising in softwoods but also offering hardwoods, panel products, doors and window frames.
