Technology developer Fujitsu is to showcase a concept laptop made of wood at the Japan Design 2008 – Innovation show.
The WoodShell features cedar housing derived from forest thinnings coupled with parts and external housing manufactured in bio-based plastics.
“[WoodShell is] the prototype PC that is not merely an environmentally friendly tool but an object of enduring style and utility,” said Fujitsu.
Japan Design 2008 – Innovation runs in Milan from April 16-20.
