Roof truss manufacturer Stevenson & Kelly has suffered a major fire at its Aberdeen factory.
Part of the company’s factory near Blackdog was destroyed in the blaze last Thursday night. Police closed the nearby A90 because smoke was billowing across the road. Emergency services were concerned about smoke carrying asbestos fibres.
More than 30 firefighters were called to the blaze, which took several hours to bring under control.
The company, a Gang-Nail licensed fabricator, also manufactures I-joists and open-web joists and supplies other engineered wood products.
