Travis Perkins has renewed its commitment to the Northampton Saints as a main sponsor to the rugby club for a further four years. The deal cements the longest relationship between a club and main sponsor in elite sport in the UK.
Travis Perkins – one of Northampton’s major employers – became the Saints’ main sponsor in 2002. However, the relationship between the club, Travis Perkins, its predecessor Travis and Arnold, and the Travis family as a whole stretches back over 90 years.
Travis Perkins deputy chief executive officer John Carter said the company had no hesitation in signing the new sponsorship deal.
“The partnership is an effective one with the sport being both widely followed and recognised by Travis Perkins employees and customers alike,” he said. “The major sponsorship deal not only provides a great opportunity for Travis Perkins to effectively target its key audience, but also to gain significant exposure and raise awareness of the brand.”
