Södra has beefed up its product offering by acquiring parquet flooring manufacturer Berg & Berg.
The company’s Interior division acquired the Kallinge-based manufacturer, which produces more than 500,000m² of parquet annually and has an annual turnover of around SKr130m.
Södra Interiör already produced solid wood flooring and is a supplier of hardwood products for Berg & Berg.
Södra said the location of Berg & Berg’s factory adjacent to the Södra Interiör facility provided good opportunities for synergies in marketing, logistics and product development in the short and long term.
