Södra Timber made a SKr307m loss in 2011 (2010: SKr129m), the company reported on Friday.
Sales reduced to SKr3.8bn from SKr4.2bn, with business hit by the strong Swedish krona impairing competitiveness.
Group-wide Södra made an operating profit of SKr1bn (2010: SKr2.2bn).
During 2011, Södra’s new 750,000m³ capacity sawmill at Väro was commissioned and the sawmill at Traryd was converted to a hardwood mill.
