Pasquill did not have a new product as such at Ecobuild, although managing director Stuart McKill did hint that an innovative new roof system is set to be unveiled later this year.

While it lacked an actual launch, however, that’s not to say the company had no news. In fact, Mr McKill highlighted several important new technical and marketing strategies for the engineered timber specialist.

“We are also receiving our certificate today for achieving an industry first – CE mark certification for trusses and Posi-joists made at all our branches, well ahead of the July 2013 deadline when CE marking becomes obligatory on construction products,” he said. “That demonstrates our commitment to quality and the European agenda and will give customers that added reassurance.”

Products the company did have on show, a mix of glulam, I-joist and Posi-joist elements and wall and roof systems, plus panelised solutions, were integrated into Saint-Gobain’s stand and its Jewson Greenworks and Fabric First displays.

“We continue to sell strongly as brands, but we are also looking at ways to bring products together into the easy and convenient solutions that more and more contractors and builders are looking for,” said Mr McKill.
