Ecobuild organisers have announced that 57,000 visitors attended this year’s show.

The total was less than the 60,000 target but still more than the 55,000 recorded in 2011 and cements Ecobuild’s reputation as the UK’s largest construction show and arguably the world’s largest sustainable building event.

“Ecobuild has proved once again that it’s the meeting place for the sustainable built environment community,” said portfolio director James Blue.

“Ecobuild is about sharing ideas and best practice, sparking debate and discussion and learning about the most current regulations and legislation. The event could not have come at a more critical time for the built environment sector.”
