Timber Frame Solutions (TFS) of Northumberland will unveil its ‘zero heat’ system at the Scottish Ideal Homes Show which, it says, has such good insulation that no space heating is required.

TFS, which is also working with Bellway Homes to build the main showhouse at the Glasgow show between October 12-21, says its zero heat single skin system is a new concept in timber frame engineering developed to minimise on-site construction time.

It uses 240mm thick TRADIS panels to deliver a U value of 0.14 W/m²K, compared to the building regulations requirement of 0.45W/m²K and features EVT Breathing Technology which makes normal moisture ingress migrate to the outside.

TFS is a specialist in timber frame design, manufacture, supply and construction.

  • Bellway’s four-bed Tiree design will be launched on a number of Scottish developments following the show.
