Norbord is donating OSB to help build 700 shelters for displaced earthquake victims in Haiti.

The donation to America’s Development Foundation (ADF) to build durable shelters will help 4,200 people living in the rural region of Petit-Goave, Haiti.

“The shelters being built by ADF will provide solid cover for families for at least three years, giving them time to develop more permanent housing solutions,” said Norbord president and CEO Barrie Shineton. “These shelters can also be easily enhanced and developed by their owners to increase the shelter lifetime.

In addition to the building materials, Norbord has provided essential logistics support to ensure panels reach their destination.
