The Wales-based company said the new 4.5-acre site next to its existing premises on Mold Industrial Estate, Mold would also lead to about 12 new positions being created, up from 76 currently.

One of the two 26,000ft² warehouses will be used for manufacturing and distribution of timber garden products and to support the development of the landscaping business, while the other will be used for a new business – serviced warehousing for one of the company’s existing pallet clients.

The company’s head office will also transfer, freeing up space for the existing location to expand the group’s garden centre operation.

"We were landlocked by our existing premises, which made expansion difficult and was hindering the growth of the business," said P&A Group managing director Steve Morgan.

"This investment gives the company the capacity needed to build and sustain further growth, enabling us to expand our existing operation and open up new markets."

The site acquisition was supported by a £1.5m HSBC finance package.
