South London Timber’s managing director Ted James recruited friend and actor PH Moriarty, who played Hatchet Harry in the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, to present prizes at a golf day to celebrate the anniversary.
The June 12 event, at South London Golf Club at Brand’s Hatch, was sponsored by suppliers Wood International, M&S Softwoods, Tulsa, James Jones, BSW Timber, Caledonian Plywood and software provider Softec. A team from Taylor Maxwell won the event, attended by 64 people.
Old Kent Road-based South London Timber was established in 1987 and now boasts a £10m turnover.
